Process Mining CoE Leaders United Event

Bright Cape hosted a Data & AI workshop as part of the BDO Finance Circle. At the event, we brought together CFO's/Financials eager to accelerate their digital transformation through effective data and AI strategies.
Their feedback? The workshop and the real-life cases from Van den Bosch & NXP Semiconductors equipped them with valuable insights, including:
• The speed at which data makes its entrance in finance is much quicker than expected.
• The presented Six key Ingredients for successful transition to a data driven organization were embraced by the audience
• The potential return on investment of data is substantial if you dare to anticipate and leverage the first-mover advantage.
We were gearing up for the next event at Perron 038, a place for the innovative manufacturing industry in the Zwolle region. The program of the AI for Industry Annual Event 2023 consisted of both practical case studies of current applications of Artificial Intelligence, and a look to the future. The theme was "Working together on AI innovation and impact".
In a breakout session, Machine Vision and other AI techniques for Quality Control, our competence lead data science, Ionuț Barbu, gave an insightful presentation on "Product Quality Prediction through Data & AI". Main challenges that Ionuț addressed included:
• How to increase production efficiency?
• What data is available for optimizing processes?
• Ensuring consistent product quality: What were the drivers?
At last year's PyData Eindhoven, an amazing talk was given by Ionuț Barbu and Tim Brakenhoff. They explained how you can create maintainable, reproducible, and production-ready data science pipelines. If you're starting a new project and are feeling overwhelmed by this process, this talk is a must-watch!
In the talk Bright Cape demonstrate how we benefit from Kedro to tackle these hurdles of creating machine learning products. Kedro is an open-source Python framework for creating reproducible, maintainable and modular data science code – code that easily transitions into production. We focussed on the Kedro project structure, the decoupling between the data and code layers, nodes, pipelines, and the built-in visualizations.
Bright Cape attended the Celonis World Tour 2023 in Amsterdam, a roadshow bringing together industry leaders, business titans, and the world’s top experts in process mining and execution management. It was an amazing event and an opportunity to chat with old colleagues, current customers, bump into familiar faces and meet new ones. This day was a great moment for discussing visions on process mining, reflect on everyone’s individual process mining journey, and, most importantly, sharing the successes we achieve and some struggles we might have in common.

Katrin, Paul, and Lindsey hosted a webinar about creating value in the end-to-end business client onboarding process and sharing our own unique pressure cooker approach. We learned our audience how process mining provides insights into your business processes and uncovers inefficiencies hindering performance.

We are grateful to have joined the conversation at the Data-Centric Design Lab Symposium, held in December. Sam Vonk, one of our Senior Human Data Interaction Consultants presented on "Design Processes & Team Work x Data Practices", sharing our human-centered design approach in data-intensive settings.
We experienced a highly engaged audience wanting to explore how best to collaborate with other data disciplines. They appreciated our practical examples of the challenges and learnings faced during one of our recent projects.
Our attendance at Celosphere in Munich on 14-15 November 2023 turned out to be a great success for Bright Cape. This annually recurring event is a must-attend event for business process experts and leaders to experience cutting-edge technologies and get inspired about best practices in the process mining industry.
Our team members on location got to connect with leading peers in the process mining industry and share knowledge, strategies and technologies. It was also a perfect occasion to meet with our current customers and to build relationships with potential new clients.
