The Department of Detecting Financial Crime (DFC) has implemented Celonis process mining for their Know Your Customer processes to gain control, both operationally and in terms of compliance. The primary driver for the banking sector to gain control is the increasing regulatory requirements and scrutiny. ​

The department of Innovation and Design (I&D) is responsible for data science, analytics, and process design. Currently, the only process capability used is business process modeling, which is only used for designing new theoretical processes. 

I&D’s ambition is to adopt the process mining capability and be able to independently monitor the process performances and work on process improvements with process mining.
