My name is Anna Broers. I was born in Nieuwegein, and grew up in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. I’ve got a passion for creativity and people, which is why my Bachelor Industrial Design was a logical choice. During that time I found another love: research. This motivated my choice for the research master of Human Technology Interaction, also at the Eindhoven University of Technology. The highlight of my master was studying abroad at Toyohashi University of Technology in Japan, where I not only performed an innovative study on human perception of robot behavior, but also achieved a publication.
After graduation I rolled into a job as a software consultant at Keylane where I focused on insurance software, bug-fixing and client contact. Now I’m working at Bright Cape as a User Experience Researcher and Designer, which is exactly where my passion is and in which I can put all my creative ideas. I design new apps using the User Centered Design Cycle, share my knowledge through workshops and projects with technical students, and improve the usability of client software through thorough testing and analysis. Any questions about creative skills or UX? Don’t hesitate to contact me.
Outside of Bright Cape I’m super active. I am board member of SPV Blue, the pole fitness and aerial silks association that I was already a member of as a student. I also do both sports regularly. I put my creativity to good use in artwork, making costumes and clothing, and I sing Japanese cover songs for HAF Records under the artist name Kythana. I also enjoy a lot of social activities with friends. There isn’t a day every week that I’m not keeping myself busy.
